Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach Tourism, Press Releases

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (March 3, 2015) – The early months of early 2015 will go down in record books. With bone-chilling temperatures and massive snow accumulations across much of the United States, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina wants to spread a ‘thaw out’ to residents of cold-weather destinations. On March 3, Visit Myrtle Beach launched a contest appropriately titled ‘Thaw Me Out’ encouraging residents to submit their photos and stories as to why they deserve a break from the winter weather.

Fans can submit their stories and photos to Visit Myrtle Beach’s Facebook page or Instagram channel (www.Facebook.com/VisitMyrtleBeachSC and www.Instagram.com/MyMyrtleBeach) using the #ThawMeOut hashtag and share how the winter weather has impacted their family and why they deserve to ‘thaw out’ in Myrtle Beach. Individuals submitting photos and stories will have a chance to win a three-day, two-night vacation to the Myrtle Beach area. With 60 miles of uninterrupted coastline, the destination offers sunshine, sandy beaches and plenty of attractions and entertainment for visitors. Myrtle Beach is the perfect place to wipe away the winter blues, thaw out and celebrate nearing the end of winter.
The contest runs through March 31, 2015. For more information about the ‘Thaw Me Out’ contest, visit www.VisitMyrtleBeach.com or www.Facebook.com/VisitMyrtleBeachSC.
