MBREDC EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBER AWARDED HORRY COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AMBASSADOR OF THE YEAR
March 21, 2013 – Conway, S.C. – This week MBREDC Executive Committee member Ebbie Phillips of Tyson Signs was named the Horry County South Carolina Economic Development Ambassador of the Year. Phillips was honored at the Governor’s Mansion Complex by Governor Nikki Haley on Tuesday, March 19th and was one of 47 honorees.
“I am very proud and honored to receive this economic development ambassador award. I consider job creation a very important mission here in Horry County. I’m happy to be a part of the positive change and momentum we are currently seeing from the Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corp. For the first time, our community is on the map when it comes to recruitment. It’s an exciting time to be a part of job creation in Horry County,” said Ebbie Phillips, Tyson Signs President.
This is the 22nd year the South Carolina Department of Commerce has recognized honorees in each South Carolina County for their economic development efforts. Phillips is currently serving his second term on the MBREDC Executive Committee. He is the Secretary for the Executive Committee and also Co-Chairs the Marketing and Membership Committee.
